Tuesday 30th November
Gabriel Moreno & The Quivering Poets announce the follow up to 2015’s critically acclaimed LP ‘Love & Decadence’ with a full length album ‘Farewell Belief’. Heavily influenced by poetical lyricism of Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen and Bill Callahan, the band’s Mediterranean rhythms fused with folk arpeggios have provided the basis for their increasing popularity on London’s Alternative Folk scene. Farewell Belief typifies Gabriel’s character-driven storytelling, set against crafted violin motifs and flowing Spanish guitar.
To celebrate the birth of this exciting record you are invited to a night of live performance by the band along with guest musicians bringing the songs of the album alive. The night will begin with a short poetry reading by London poets then the Quivering Poets take to the stage to propel you into the night with their apparent energy and passion.
The Quivering Poets are a musical and poetical alliance of musicians, headed by Gabriel Moreno. This strong bond is beautifully expressed in their performances through perfected musicianship, powerful stage panache and haunting tunes. Formulated by highly talented musicians from the Barcelona and London alternative folk scene gravitating towards Gabriel, The Quivering Poets are here to stay. The members are Pablo Yupton on electric guitar, Barbara Bartz on violin, Adam Beattie on double bass, Pablo Campos on percussion and Gabriel Moreno on guitar and vocals.
