International Banjo Day 2016

This is our 5th year of The international Banjo day and we have gone big with this one. From Norway we have the incredible Storm Weather Shanty choir delivering their own take on classic sea shanties with punk rock attitude and a stadium rock performance. You will not leave with your voice in tact. Banjo day veterans Ramshackle Union Band who will be dusting off the banjo once again to deliver some of Londons finest Blues/Folk/ rock (whatever you want to call it). Treetop Flyers will be adapting their songs to encorporate the banjo which we cant wait to hear. Banjo extrodanaire Dan Walsh will be showing us what can be done on the banjo and of course us, The Barker Band will be opening up the show and also throwing in a short set at half time.

Plus we’ll be serving Bloody Marys and Sunday Roasts as always.

Folk trio TEYR (‘3’ in the Cornish language) evolved out of the London session scene, combining their multiple instruments and voices in every innovative way they can muster. Heavily influenced by the great Irish, Scottish, English and Cornish musicians who’ve come before, they’ve honed their craft and thrived on weaving diverse threads together. Join us as they launch their debut album.
